You cannot run Adventist schools on public fuel

Adventist schools were initially designed to be led by God's principles as stated in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. When this is done, they shine brighter than any other school on the planet. When it isn't, they run, but not at the level they were created for. This condition eventually worsens and results in dissatisfaction in the product and eventually leads to a total departure by it's customer, who ironically, prior to leaving, pushed for it's compromise.

How to be an AWESOME Teacher

Essential Element #1

What He taught, He lived...And more than this; what He taught, He was. His words were the expression,
not only of His own life experience, but of His own character. Not only did He teach the truth, but He was the truth. It was this that gave His teaching, power. Ed p.78

You MUST also walk the path you call others to.

Mt. Ellis Academy receives 144,006 votes to win $500,000

Check out the number of votes.....How Great is our God? :)

"Mount Ellis Academy received 144,006 votes and finished in 10th place in the Kohl's Cares grant competition.  The top 20 schools in a Facebook vote receive grants of up to $500,000.  The results are currently unofficial as Kohls is taking time to validate the votes."

Faith reaches to the unseen, and grasps eternal realities.

"A man whose heart is stayed upon God will be the same in the hour of his greatest trial as he is in prosperity, when the light and favor of God and of man beam upon him. Faith reaches to the unseen, and grasps eternal realities." PK p. 545

This quote has been blowing my mind lately. I want to have a faith that is so dependent on God, that as life happens, I won't deem situations "good or bad". Instead, I'll just look up to the Heavens to see what God is going to do next. Then whatever He does, I will praise Him, regardless of the temporal opinions of myself and those around me. He knows what is eternally best for me and to follow His plan is a very cool thing to do :)

"I am the vine. You are the branches."

This last Friday in agriculture class, I took this picture of some grapes that were still on the vine here at the Weimar gardens.  I spent some time examining the fruit on the vine and it gave me a whole new perspective of John 15. I guess that is why God has given us counsel to get out in nature in order to learn more about Him. Just in case you were wondering, they tasted as good as they looked too :)

Awesome Quote!

True success in any line of work is not the result of chance or accident or destiny. It is the outworking of God's providences, the reward of faith and discretion, of virtue and perseverance. Fine mental qualities and a high moral tone are not the result of accident. God gives opportunities; success depends upon the use made of them. PK p.486

ARME Camp

I had a fantastic time at ARME this past week with Weimar Academy.  I am praying that God will take the inspiration of that camp and use it to inspire the students and myself to new heights for Him. Here is the link to the ARME website if you would like to check it out yourself.
